Dr. Abboud has always been committed to helping and improving the lives of others. A medical practitioner for several years after a residency in family medicine at McGill University, Dr. Abboud also has a master's degree in biochemical sciences from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa.

In addition to his theoretical background, Dr. Abboud has followed more than 800 patients in general family practice; worked in the emergency department, walk-in pediatric clinic; practiced in the management of addictions and pain, sexually transmitted diseases (including hepatitis C and HIV) in a specialized clinic; performed hospital and psychiatric work in long-term care facilities and mental health institute.

Loin d’être suffisant à ses yeux, le Dr Abboud a participé à de nombreux postes bénévoles incluant une levée de fonds où il récoltera fièrement 2 500$ destiné à la recherche sur le cancer pour l’Hôpital général juif en parcourant à vélo, le trajet Montréal-Québec. Enfin, durant la pandémie, le Dr Abboud a offert son soutien dans les cliniques désignées de dépistage et d’évaluation (CDÉ) en accueillant les patients suspectés positifs à la COVID-19.
